Fully Volume-based Services

At GSI, we recognize that every household generates a different amount of waste. For these customers we have some very special volume-based services. These services are designed with two distict customer types in mind.

First, these services are ideal for seniors, individuals, or small families who set out very little trash. With this service, you do not pay for a half empty container. Second, these services are ideal if you tend to generate a very different amount each week.

The fee for the volume of waste is built into the cost of each bag or tag so you don't get extra end up with charges for extra waste some weeks and not enough trash to fill containers the next. So whether you set out one bag or can per month or the in-laws show up unexpectedly and you end up with ten for the week, we've got you covered.

This service may be complemented in most areas with unlimited curbside single-stream recycling, which means you only need to bag and throw away the items that are not recyclable. It is very reasonable to assume that you can recycle between 25-50% of your waste. Which spells savings and a trash bill that YOU control.

GSI BAG Service

Through this program you would then pay a small monthly administrative BASE fee and we provide you with a package of (20) bags that already have the service cost built in to the purchase price. You may then set out as few or as many GSI bags as needed each week. You can even use them as liners to your household trash can. just pull them out, tie them and set them at the curb for pickup on your scheduled service day.

The bags hold 33 gallons of waste and are made from a 1.5 mil thick plastic, so they are stronger then your average store bought brand bag, in most cases.

Bags for Extra Waste

While this service type works well for small and sporatic waste generators, it also works a a suppliment to an existing cart service as well. If you are subscribed to any other residential services you can elect to purchase bags for your extra waste, just in case you need them.

In fact, this is the method we recommend to our customers to handle extra trash. You can order a package and only use them as you need them. For example, you may find that he 65-gallon cart best fits your needs most of the time, but on occassion you may have a little bit more. Since the bags are paid for when ordered (on account) our drivers do not have to record these as "extra" containers. When they see them on route, they know they are already accounted for in our billing system.

Because of this convenience, we share the savings with you by charging a lower per bag fee then we would if you just set out a non-GSI bag or extra trash without a GSI tag on it. For example, GSI Bags are $3.25 each while we charge $3.50 per can/bag that you set out of your own.
